Noise properties of there constructed highway D1 measured by CPX open trailer and stability of measured data in time and distance

Abstract:
The road noise prolongated from the tyre/road interaction annoys the people living in neighbouring residental areas and also the natural ecosystems on long distance from road. To follow the rule of EU Directive 2002/49/EC our government needs to monitore noise from main road network. We measure noise pollution of the choosen sections around Czech Republic to monitor the change of the properties of road surfaces. There is exists also a need to persuade the national authority that used open CPX trailer (which is constructed and tested by our company according ISO 11819-2) is the right measurement device and it is able to bring good results at road noise measurement.
This article brings the results of the tyre/road noise pollution measured on the old and newly layed road surface on main stream highway D1 Prague-Brno-Ostrava.
The second task of our measurement by opened CPX trailer is to persuade that our device is able to bring truly results which can be used by our national autorities for making right decision for future (re)construction of Czech road network which should be comfortable for drivers, residents and natural environment as well.
The measurement is a part of systematic monitoring of road network and results will be used for governmental authorities for good decisions.
